Something's coming to

Old Town

One song. Two hundred dancers. Zero pulse. On Saturday, October 17, King Street goes quiet at dusk — and then the dead-icated dance. Learn the routine, show up in your finest decay, and help us raise the roof for Lucky Dog Animal Rescue.

Rehearsals

Six dates to learn the shuffle

Free, open to every body — stiff, spry, or septuagenarian. Choreography is taught in sections and repeated every week, so a late start is no problem. Come to one, come to all.

Can't make it in person? The full routine and a slow-count tutorial go out by email to everyone who signs up.

The cause

Dancing dead, living dogs

Every dollar raised goes to Lucky Dog Animal Rescue — foster care, medical treatment, and transport for dogs and cats pulled from high-risk shelters across the region. Costumes are free. Second chances aren't.
